Over the weekend one of my big toe ran into the stairs and I flew about a meter but manage to land on my feet still. Thank goodness for that because I was at kev’s birthday party. Obviously it hurt like my toe was coming out or something but I thought its one of those pain where it hurts and then the pain will go away. So I did not bother about it until I felt the inside of my shoe becoming moist. Again I dismissed it as sweaty feet due to the warm weather. Finally I removed my shoe and the toe was covered in blood.
It has been about 5 days since that happened and I am still limping because my toenail is still in place *touch wood* but it still hurts when there is pressure on it. I have no idea what is happening.
AND IT IS ABOUT A MONTH TO THE WEDDING! Thankfully because ah huat thinks I have deformed toe ( which I totally disagree) my shoes are both cover toe. And WE are still planning to learn Tango. Lessons are suppose to start on monday. How!
On to a little more about wedding planning here. We spoke to the pastor yesterday about the church wedding. Not that I am christian. We did not plan to have a church wedding from the beginning and the idea never crossed my mind until we found out that we can only get married in one country. Sounds silly but getting ”married” in front of family is important here. At leasts for the Omas. So I have never attended a church wedding and my expectations or ideas about how things are suppose to flow comes from TV. Church wedding in Germany is a little difference. The father of the bride does not need to give the bride away, or maybe it is just our situation. We don’t have to exchange vows, at least that is my understanding from our 1.5hr conversation conducted mainly in german. And we have to find a wedding motto “Trauspruch”. Was not too difficult to find one.
